ANNOUNCEMENT RE ONE DAY SEMINAR ON JEWS OF BLUFFTON,SC (HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC AREA)Shalom Chevra:The below copy and pasted email is from the President of Bluffton, SC's Congregation Oseh Shalom, Mr. Al Reuben, announcing a one day seminar on the history of Bluffton SC Jewry and other 'Jewish-South' topics.It is being held Sunday May 2, all day, at the Bluffton Public library, a new facility, and the cost is only 18$ including lunch.Mr. Reuben is speaking as well as Oseh Shalom's Rabbi Robert Seigel. Both are excellent orators and have great command of their subject matters. Other speakers will be from the College of Charleston Jewish Studies program as well as from the SC Jewish Historical Society. Bluffton was chosen because of JHSCC's fascination with the growth of the Jewish population in Southern Beaufort County and the related growth of Temple Oseh Shalom.
